FEDERATION TRACK RACE: THE UK OUTDOOR SEASON STARTS HERE

The Federation Track Race kicks off the 2025/26 Outdoor season in style on 19th April 2026 at Tatem Park, London. Open to and suitable for skaters of all ages and abilities and featuring a diverse programme of race formats ranging from sprints to points races, this is the perfect start to your track racing season. We will be trialing a new relay format, the Mixed Relay, which is under consideration as a potential future addition to the British Track Championships; we are giving you the chance to be a part of this process. This is also a rare opportunity to obtain relay practice in a competitive setting ahead of the British Championships in July. The Federation’s electronic timing ensures live (provisional) results and times direct to your device, meaning you can follow the racing as it happens.

Skaters are placed into categories according to their ability, with the exception of the age races where national age groups apply. For the very youngest skaters and those entirely new to the sport, there is a novice category. For those adult skaters who do not meet the speed requirements of the faster categories, but feel uncomfortable competing against children, Category 2A is the place for you. For more on how categories work, please click here.

For the category races, skaters earn points according to their finishing position in each race. The winner gains 1 point, second place 2 points, and so forth. At the end of the race meeting the skater with the least points across the category races is the winner of their category.

Medals earned at this event will be added to the clubs medal tally for the overall 2025/26 season (not to be confused with the Championship medal table); seize this opportunity to earn further glory for your Club.
