Birmingham Wheels Roller Speed Club host the second race of the 2024 indoor season at a brand new venue, Tudor Grange Leisure Centre.
This is the clubs first indoor race for a number of years, and like all club level events the categories are set according to ability. The tennis centre has an excellent skating surface, similar to Vesmaco, and fits a 100m track within its bounds. The Federation’s electronic timing system will be in operation for this event, which means the racing can be followed on FISS’ live telemetry.
All skaters, including newcomers and quad skaters, are welcome.
For the category races, skaters earn points according to their finishing position in each race. The winner gains 1 point, second place 2 points, and so forth. At the end of the race meeting the skater with the least points across the three category races is the winner of their category.
Doors open at 12pm with registration from 12:30 – 13:00 pm; racing will start shortly after 1pm. PLEASE NOTE that registration will take place in the sports hall adjacent to the racing area. The café will be open for hot and cold refreshments and food.
