The British Inline Marathon Championships is the final event of the 2025/2026 season (which runs from October to September). As one of the Big Three (along with the British Indoor Championships and the British Outdoor Track Championships), the British Inline Marathon Championships represents the pinnacle of the sport and is the premier skating endurance event in the UK.
This year, the event returns to Colchester Sports Park, a new state of the art facility featuring a smooth track which is predominantly flat, with some gentle inclines. This makes it an excellent venue for beginners as well as experienced skaters, and means it has the potential to enable skaters to produce fast times. There is an on site cafe providing food and hot and cold drinks and refreshments.
Open to all skaters, the event consists of a 100m sprint tournament followed by the main event, the British Inline Marathon Championship. Skaters compete in their national age groups. RACE LIST AND TIME LIMIT
As this is a National Level Event skaters must be Members of FISS or another internationally recognised federation in order to participate. Please refer to the entry options and eligibility section below for further details.
Race times will be determined by an electronic chip timing system. A digital certificate featuring the finish time for the endurance race will be issued to all participants via email. This is the final opportunity to earn points towards Absolute Champion with the winners of each determined at this event.

As with any sport, there is a risk of injury. Helmets are mandatory for all FISS affiliated events and other protective equipment (such as wrist guards, elbow/knee/hip protectors etc) is at the discretion of the skater/their parents. We would advise skaters to wear equipment appropriate to their skill/experience level.
Registration closes at midnight on 7th September. There is no late or on the day registration for this event.
