The only official skate event of its kind in the UK will be held at Colchester Sports Park, a new, top of the range facility, on 11th May 2025.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to cover the greatest possible distance in 6 Hours in your category, taking turns in teams or (for the brave of heart among you) as a solo skater. Duo and teams skate one at a time in a relay, changing as often as you like and whenever you feel those legs need a respite. There will be a Le Mans style start (starting members will line up on one side of track and dash across the tarmac to put on their skates). Teams will need to wear matching clothing to assist with identification.

The challenge is suitable for and open to all skaters, whether your preference is quads or inlines, and perfect training for Le Mans – or perhaps simply just a challenge, or to raise funds for a beloved charity. For international skaters it is also an excellent way to combine skating and a visit to the vast attractions of London. Fancy dress is encouraged.
