Evesham is a brand new facility at Evesham Football Clubs ground.
Evesham Velo Park was measured by FISS on 3 June 2023. The full track is 928m measured by the inside line as required by World Skate. All age groups will use the full track.
The venue will be open from approximately 09:30am. You are welcome to set up around 9am however must not enter the track.
Registration is at 09:30am. Those older skaters (youth and above) who are only taking part in the endurance event may arrive and register just prior to or during the childrens podiums. Please note that if the event runs faster than anticipated this may run ahead of schedule.
Racing will commence at 10:00am. Any skater who is not in attendance when it is their turn to race will miss their opportunity.
Members as always need to bring and wear their race numbers. Numbers will be provided to non-members at registration.
Collection of timing chips is at 09:30am or as detailed above for youth plus. Chips can be collected by a representative from the club. Only independent skaters (or parents of) may collect individual chips.
Timing chips are not to be taken off site and must be returned after the event. There will be a charge of £45.57 plus VAT per chip for any chips which are not returned.
Helmets are mandatory.
There is a trackside spectator area and space to bring family and friends with you. A small shelter such as a pop up tent or similar small shelter is recommended both for weather and for storage of personal items. Please note that all items are left unattended at your own risk. If attending alone, you may leave belongings with us.
Please do not brings docs or BBQs. Food is permitted however please ensure rubbish is taken from track and disposed of. The cafe will be open selling refreshments and light bits.
There should be no crossing or entering of the track whilst a racve is underway unless you are an official or have permission.
A bell will be rung to denote the last lap. The timing desk and officials will work with skaters to ensure they are aware of which lap they are on throughout the race.
In instances where there are warnings or disqualifications, an announcement will be made.
No one should approach the centre of the track unless invited to do so.
Please follow instructions from the officiating team at all times.
Please do not consume alcohol before skating – this will invalidate the Federations insurance.
Skaters must not use earbuds or headphones, Skaters need to be able to hear announcements and have awareness of other skaters around them. They are also a hazard if they fall out.
Electronic timing will be in place, with live timing available. A link will be provided to folow this and updates will be shared to whatsapp.
Please respect the venue; clean up any leaks or spills, take away all rubbish and respect the facilities.
For the 100m, all skaters will set a time. The three fastest times progress to the final to determine the podium and medal result.
Minis will skate all their races together, but will be awarded according to gender in the usual way. Pupil and cadet may be combined for the 2 laps ribbon circuit.
