Wisbech Inline Speed Skating Club present the first of their two events this 2025/26 season, taking place at Skaters Walpole Highway, a purpose built skating venue in Wisbech, on 8th November 2025.
Variety is the buzzword here, with sprints, points and elimination formats all on offer, and the welcome new addition of Random Relays, a format where skaters across several categories are selected at random on the day to form relay teams (a scratch relay). The Federation’s electronic timing enables the action to be followed live as it happens, so you never miss a moment.
This event is suitable for new and experienced skaters alike, with skaters placed into categories according to their ability. For the very youngest skaters and those entirely new to the sport, there is a novice category. For those adult skaters who do not meet the speed requirements of the faster categories, but feel uncomfortable competing against children, Category 2A is the place for you. For more on how categories work, please click here.
For the category races, skaters earn points according to their finishing position in each race. The winner gains 1 point, second place 2 points, and so forth. At the end of the race meeting the skater with the least points across the category races is the winner of their category.
Registration closes on 2nd November 2025 at midnight. There will be no late or on the day registration with the exception of novice skaters, who we would encourage to enter online wherever possible.
