The second track race of the year, hosted by the Federation and held at the same track as the British National Outdoor Championships a month later, which makes this event perfect for practice ahead of the biggest track event of the year.
This year sees the reinstatement of age races in addition to categories, crowd pleaser/old favourite the Intercategory Knockout is back. A handicap race, the Intercategory places skaters on different sections of the track according to their category (lower categories have a head start over the higher ones) and they to go head to head to see who crosses the finish line first. This is run as a tournament with winners progressing to later stages and then a final.
Skaters of all levels are welcome and will be placed into categories based on ability for the category races and their National age groups for the age race. Electronic chip timing will be used at this event.
