SCHEDULE
- The venue will be open from approximately 9am
- Registration is open from 09:15am until 09:45am
- Racing will commence at 10am
- Collection of timing chips is between 09:15am and 09:45am. The chips may be collected by a representative from the team.
- Speed Hour will take place between 14:00 - 15:00pm.
- The 6hours will end at 4pm, followed by the presentations.
ELECTRONIC TIMING, RACE NUMBERS AND TIMING CHIPS
- Timing chips may be collected by a representative from the team.
- Two chips will be allocated to each duo/team. For teams, the best way to manage this is to swap the timing chip to the skater who will be taking to the track next ready for the current skater to hand over.
- Under no circumstances should the timing chips be taken off site. There will be a charge of £52.80 incl VAT (per chip) for any chips which are not returned.
- The electronic timing will provide accurate live information direct to your mobile devices, enabling you/your team (or those supporting you) to track your progress in real time.
- Race numbers - team numbers will be provided to teams at registration as part of the registration pack.
VENUE AND MANAGING YOUR DAY
- The track has been measured in accordance with World Skate rules. The distance of the full track measured in this way is 1,575 metres.
- Please do not brings dogs or BBQs. Please ensure rubbish is taken from the track and disposed of.
- There is an on site cafe providing hot and cold drinks and refreshments
- A small shelter such as a pop up tent or other small tent/shelter is recommended both for weather related reasons and for storage of your personal items. Please note that items are left unattended at your own risk. If you are attending alone, there is an option to store your items in a small bag or container and leave them with the event management team or another attendee.
- A photographer will be present, permitted by the organisers to take photographs in accodance with agreements. They will also be taking images as part of the prizes.
- Please ensure you remain hydrated and bring ample water/drinks with you. The organisers will provide water, however please bear in mind that others may make use of this also.
- There is ample parking available on site.
SAFETY AND WELLBEING
- Helmets are mandatory. If your helmet has a plastic peak this must be removed for the race for safety reasons.
- It is advisable to bring a first aid kit with you. In the rare event that there is an accident, the event organisers have first aiders on site with an advanced kit.
- Please do not consume alcohol before skating - this will invalidate the Federation's insurance therefore you will not be permitted to skate.
- Please bring plenty of water/drinks with you and ensure you stay hydrated. The Federation will ensure water is provided, however please bear in mind that others will also make use of this.
