VENUE AND BEHAVIOUR
- In instances where there are warnings and/or disqualifications, an announcement will be made. It is the responsibility of the coaches/club representatives to explain the decision to their skaters however the referee may call the skater and a club representative into the middle to explain. If any clarification outside of this is required, the procedure in the point below should be followed.
- No one is to approach the centre of the track/enter the track, or an official who is undertaking their duties on the track, unless they have been invited to do so. Skaters, coaches and/or club representatives may respectfully approach either an official who is situated nearby/ outside of the track itself or gain the attention of Secretary to raise their issue and bring their written appeal with their payment as set out in the Rules. The issue should be raised in a concise and respectful manner within the permitted 15 minute time slot and a decision will then be made. This should not take place during an active race. It is not acceptable to enter the track
- Food and drink are restricted to spectator areas only.
- Respect the facilities – Please respect the venue; leave the venue in the same state in which you find it. The toilets at Tatem Park are cleaned prior to events and are fully functional. There is a known issue with low water pressure during times of high volume usage; you may need to allow the toilets several minutes to fill back up with water before using them. It is not in any way acceptable to abuse them; misuse of the bathrooms makes for an unpleasant experience for everyone. The toilets during an event will be inspected every 30 minutes, to ensure any issues are dealt with swiftly, prevent the situation degrading to the same level as last time, and to report in any major issues. If there is an issue, this may require the toilets to be closed temporarily for a short while to be dealt with. Small bins for any items which can not be flushed and for sanitary products will be available in the bathrooms. Please use them accordingly. If there is an issue, eg toilet not flushing etc, please notify those running the event, rather than leaving it; it cannot be resolved if organisers are not aware.
- Rubbish – a large volume of litter left behind around the site has been a longstanding issue at this venue. Please can clubs/parents bring a black bag with them into which they can place their rubbish and dispose of this at a suitable place. There will be further black bags available; please request one if you require one.
- If we can all do our bit and follow the basic principles above, the event will be much better and more pleasant for us all (and far less stressful for those who have to clean up afterwards).
