The Leeds Roller Marathon is the third round of the 2025 FISS Road Race Series (RRS).
Skating returns for the fourth time to the Brownlee Centre at the University of Leeds, a smooth, mile long track with excellent facilities, including a dedicated space for skaters and spectators and a bridge across the track offering both a unique view of the event and safe access to the facilities in the main building. This is a true endurance circuit (and it even has a very friendly resident ginger cat, for added cute factor and the animal lovers amongst you).
Open to all skaters, Members and non members, elites and recreational/quad skaters, the event consists of two supporting race, a 100m sprint and 1 lap time trial, followed by the main event, the Leeds Marathon/ Half Marathon/ 10K (or alternative distance for younger skaters). Skaters are split into age categories and are welcome to only skate in the endurance race if they wish. There are no expectations here; whether your aim is to win the road series, prove that you’re simply the best, raise money for a beloved charity, or challenge yourself and socialise with other skaters, this is an event for everyone. This year there will be some great music to accompany your skating, helping you muster up the energy for those last few miles.
The FISS age categories and their associated distances for the endurance race, along with the schedule, track layouts for the different races and important information can be found at the following links:
